Our (provisional) program for:

10am (lunch at 12.30 - 1.30 The Cliff Young Gumboot Shuffle & Colour Run

Fun run/walk/shuffle 5km & 10km starts from the West Wyalong Saleyards (junction of Newell Hwy & Bye-Pass Rd). Plenty of parking is available in the Saleyards plus a coffee if you need that extra wake-up hit.
Please remember to wear old white clothes as you will be showered with colour.
Laugh your way back to the Saleyards for a BBQ Lunch (included in cost) kindly provided by Events West Wyalong.
Pay on the day $10 per head - proceeds to Country Hope

10am - 2pm Behind the Gate, Collectables. A feast for the eyes and a beautiful setting for all sorts of wonderful old Australian items (some are even available to buy) on show at 21 Victory Street, West Wyalong. Entry by gold coin (NB. also open on Fri & Sat)


 

11am Combined Churches Service - McCann Park
Combined Churches Service

Whether you are a church-goer or not, you are invited to join with people from different churches at the park for this combined service. A guest from the Bible Society (Australia’s oldest organisation) will be our speaker.


 

10am - 2pm Aussie Fest...In the West Art Prize Exhibition - Art Inspired by Country Australia.NB. (From 2pm to 4pm those who have purchased artworks or artists wishing to remove artworks from the exhibition may call by to collect).

An exhibition of Australian inspired painting, sculpture, ceramics & more from artists of all ages. Many of the works on exhibition are also for sale - a great oportunity to grace your home with an original artwork.
A chance to view the $1000 Bland Aquisitive Art Prize winning artwork plus work entered and prize winners in all categories. Prizes are sponsered by Bland Shire Council and Events West Wyalong.

Garden & Floral Art + Photo Competition + Writing Competition + Bland Spinners & Weavers.

The Kelpie

Local photographers amateurs and professionals alike compete for prizes, exhibiting their visions of Country Australia together with a fascinating range of photographic subjects. Prizes are sponsered by Bland Shire Council. Youngsters are also given the chance to express themselves through photography in several categories.

The Inaugural ...in the West Writing Competition focus is on aspects of Australian Country Life. All literary entrys will be on display together with the prize winning works.
