10.00am - 4pm Aussie Fest...In the West Art Prize Exhibition
An exhibition of Australian inspired painting, sculpture, ceramics & more from artists of all ages. Many of the works on exhibition are also for sale - a great oportunity to grace your home with an original artwork.
A chance to view the $1000 Bland Aquisitive Art Prize winning artwork plus work entered and prize winners in all categories. Prizes are sponsered by Bland Shire Council and Events West Wyalong.

9.30am - 4pm The Aussie Fest Exhibitions
Photo Competition + Garden & Floral Art + Writing Competition + Bland Spinners & Weavers.
Local photographers amateurs and professionals alike compete for prizes, exhibiting their visions of Country Australia together with a fascinating range of photographic subjects. Prizes are sponsered by Bland Shire Council. Youngsters are also given the chance to express themselves through photography in several categories.

West Wyalong Garden & Floral Art Club present Australian floral displays for your delectation.
The Inaugural ...in the West Writing Competition focus is on aspects of Australian Country Life. All literary entries will be on display together with the prize winning works.
The exhibitions take place at 98 Main St (former Target Country) Admission by: gold coin donation.
10am - 4pm Behind the Gate, Collectables. A feast for the eyes and a beautiful setting for all sorts of wonderful old Australian items (some are even available to buy) on show at 21 Victory Street, West Wyalong. Entry by gold coin (NB. also open on Fri & Sun)
12:00noon The Billy Cart Race followed by Aussie Float Parade - Main St.
Come and enjoy the fun and spectacle of a Aussie country parade. Starting from the corner of Operator St. the Parade will travel Westwards to McCann Park. Expect Aussie themed floats of every sort, plus country trucks and tractors and Aussie cars. The Perpetual Trophy for the winning float is proudly donated by West Wyalong Jewellers and Prize money of $1500 will be awarded to floats in 3 categories.
The Billy Cart Race will take place ahead of the main parade starting from the Drysdale Monument (Corner of Monash & Main St.) Helmets must be worn and carts must not be motorised. Carts can be of any design, with power to be provided by the second team member pushing from the rear.
Race 1, Pushing from Drysdale monument to Thom, Dick & Harrys (pedestrian crossing)
Race 2, Steering Skill - Pushing round a course with obstacles from Thom, Dick's to Water St.
Trophies will be awarded for both the winning and made/decorated Billy Cart. We have 4 Billy Carts to lend (if you are interested call Martin on 6972 1858).
2pm - 4:30pm Shearing competitions & Crutching demonstration + lots more. See how shearing is done... skill speed and shear strength from both male, female and young participants. Demos of mobile sheep crutching, whip cracking and more. This fascinating spectacle is a free and located between White Tank Hotel and McCann Park. Simply follow the parade!
5pm - till late Fletcher Pilon plus The Convicts at Ron Crowe
Fletcher Pilon the amazing singer songwriter and 2016 winner of Australia's Got Talent, will do a special session for the town.
Taking us up till late... Rock Band - The Convicts (Pure Australian Music) + from 5:00pm music from our fantastic local musicians and singers. Including: Jake Jewell, Jessica Payne & Tyler Turner, West Wyalong Town Choir sing some Aussie classics + Aussie family games + entertainment, dancing, music, food & drinks.
Entry: $15 for adults (over 16) | $10 Seniors & Children (under 16) | Under 5's enter free.| $40 per family with up to 4 youngsters (aged under 16) | extra childeren $5 each.
NB. No food drink or glass can be taken into/into the Oval. We also ask that young children are properly supervised.
